Rotork assists BAE Systems in naval base actuator upgrades

Rotork has been working with BAE Systems to upgrade a series of A-range actuators to IQ3 actuators which operate penstocks controlling movement of ships between the ocean and transitional locks and dry docks at Her Majesty’s Naval Base Portsmouth (HMNB Portsmouth).
เกจวัดco2 of A-range actuators had reached the top of their operational life after lengthy service in a difficult environment. BAE Systems needed to retain all the benefits of electric actuators, so IQ3 actuators had been chosen. เกจวัดแรงดูด had to be specially tailored by Rotork to beat problems round confined areas and troublesome entry.
IQ3 actuators and IS gearboxes have been mechanically adapted so that each actuator and gearbox could possibly be manually operated with out coming into the confined space. Rotork designed particular hand auto levers and thru drive mechanisms for the actuator and gearbox to eliminate the need for confined area entry.
Actuators throughout the IQ vary are watertight, offering ingress safety to IP66/68 at 20 m for 10 days. They have an advanced twin stacked display with configurable knowledge logger functionality, and an absolute position sensor provides reliability and accuracy.
