KSB completes expansion of GIW’s Grovetown facility

KSB has announced the completion of its US$44 million multiphase enlargement of the GIW facility in Grovetown, Georgia, USA.

The first two phases of the growth have been accredited in 2013 in response to rising market demand for bigger equipment. Since then, the Grovetown facility has accomplished upgrades, added tens of thousands of square ft to its foundry, increased furnace capability, completed construction on a distribution centre, and won approval for three additional phases of improvement.
With the completion of the venture, KSB has quadrupled its capability to mold castings over 20,000 lbs (9000 kg), elevated its most pouring output by as much as sixty six,000 lbs (30,000 kg), reduced the number of required shot blast runs by 50%, added particular cleaning stations for large castings, carried out new technology and efficiency solutions, and doubled worker locker room services.
