Atlas Copco to amass Wangen Pumpen

Atlas Copco has agreed to accumulate the German industrial pump manufacturer Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH from personal fairness firm Silverfleet Capital.

Headquartered in Wangen within the Allgäu area of Germany, Pumpenfabrik Wangen specialises in progressive cavity pumps used mainly within the biogas and wastewater sectors, and twin-screw pumps for food and beverage and cosmetics functions.
Pumpenfabrik Wangen has manufacturing amenities in Germany, a US subsidiary and a global gross sales and service footprint. The firm employs 265 people and had 2020 revenues of approximately €46.4 million.
“Industrial pumps is a segment that we have recognized as a strategic fit for Atlas Copco and Wangen Pumpen has leading differentiated know-how with a robust aftermarket enterprise,” stated Andrew Walker, president of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique enterprise space. “Wangen Pumpen is a powerful model and is understood for high quality in demanding industrial purposes. This acquisition will create a strong foundation for further development in new industrial pump segments.”

The acquired enterprise will become a half of the Power and Flow division inside Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area.
diaphragm seal is anticipated to be completed in the course of the second quarter of 2022 and is topic to regulatory approvals.
