Svanehøj launches management system for cargo offloading

เกจวัดแรงดัน4บาร์ Svanehøj has launched its newly developed environmentally pleasant Flow Control system, which automates the control of electric cargo pumps on tankers.
The launch of the newly developed software-based management system follows a profitable test in collaboration with the Swedish shipping company Furetank on the P&C tanker Fure Ven. The 18,000 DWT vessel was inbuilt 2019 as considered one of Furetank’s V-Series, a model new generation of climate-smart P&C tankers.
Svanehøj’s system makes it quicker, easier, and more environment friendly to operate electrical cargo pumps. It ensures an optimal changeover between tanks and pumps in parallel, reducing the time needed for cargo discharge by up to 20% as a result of the system will routinely operate at the optimum obligation point. It allows the operator to take full management of the pumps, simplifying the entire cargo discharge operation without putting in any further hardware.
Fure Ven is among the many first vessels at Furetank to have electric cargo pumps installed. The firm has recorded a 25% reduction in energy and fuel consumption in relation to cargo discharge operations in comparability with vessels within the fleet that have hydraulic pumps.
